About me

My Image

Hello! I am a linguistics researcher based in India. My research focuses on language processing in children and adults, with special attention to their comprehension of meaning in verbal communication. I am particularly fascinated by the intricate interplay between semantics and pragmatics in meaning interpretation. I study the comprehension of ubiquitous logical words, such as connectives (and, or, if-then) and quantifiers (some, all, every), and I use experimental methods to explore their processes.

Logical expressions are ubiquitous in our everyday language. Yet much remains unknown about how they are understood in both children and adults and what factors influence their comprehension. Many ambiguities are yet to be resolved. I study logical expressions because they offer us a window into the complex relationship between language and human cognition. I am also interested in exploring how language and general cognitive faculties aid each other in their development in children.

I have experience using behavioral techniques for my studies, and I am keen on learning to use more advanced techniques.

When I am not working, I like to paint, arrange dry flowers, or cook some Bibimbap and enjoy an anime!
